Tips for Bringing Mindfulness into Your Life

1. MEDITATE. Taking even just 5 minutes to sit quietly and give yourself permission to just BE and BREATHE will help you feel more conscious, calm, and connected for the rest of your day.

In the embrace of the ocean's whispers and the warmth of the sunset, she found her tranquility; through meditation, she granted herself the freedom to simply be, a reminder that peace resides within.

2. FOCUS. On One Thing At A Time. Studies have found that tasks take 50% longer and have 50% more errors when multi-tasking, so consider “uni-tasking”, with breaks in between, whenever possible.

3. SLOW YOUR ROLL. Slow down. Savor the process, enjoy the journey-don't obsess on the route or time it takes to get there. Whether it’s writing a report for work, drinking a cup of tea, or reorganizing your closets. Intentional, thoughtful attention to simple actions promotes healthy focus and can keep you from feeling overwhelmed.

4. MANGIA Mindfully. Eating your meal without the TV, computer, or cell phone in front of you, where you can truly taste and enjoy the food with all of your senses. You should never be forced to experience food as simply a "bodily function". What and how you are eating, is important for not only for your body, but for your soul as well. Life should be experienced as a Feast! Celebrate and be grateful for each meal, it's yummy courses, the texture, the aroma, the spices, and the simple delicacy.

5. UNPLUG. Keep Phone and Computer Time In Check. With all of the media at our fingertips, we can easily be on IT-overload. Set tech-boundaries with designated times for social networking – and do your best to keep mobile devices out of reach at bedtime.

6. GET MOVING! Whether it’s walking, jogging, practicing yoga, or just stretching at your desk, become aware of your body’s sensations by moving. Get that Chi flowing!

Remember to listen to your body and honor its needs; whether that means pushing yourself to go further or allowing yourself a gentle stretch, getting that Chi flowing is crucial for maintaining balance and harmony within yourself!

7. ECO-THERAPY. Spend Time In Nature, Earthing. Take walks through a park barefoot, hike in the the woods, mountain trails or play in the waves at the beach. Getting outdoors is good for body, mind and soul. It keeps you in the present moment and reconnects you with Mother Nature.

A Mindful Moment
In the stillness of the dawn,
Where whispers of the world are drawn,
Each breath a gift, each thought a thread,
In the now, where we are led.
Let the worries fade away,
In the present, here we stay,
With open hearts and gentle eyes,
We find our truth beneath the skies.
So pause and feel the earth's embrace,
In every smile, in every space,
For in this moment, life unfolds,
A tapestry of stories told.
