CATNIP FOR DOGS? YES PLEASE.
Juananip is an innovative brand offering chillaxing dog toys and products crafted with the herb catnip (Nepeta spp), which belongs to the mint family. It is commonly known as
to as catmint.
Juananip enhances the attractor factor of toys and motivates dogs to play longer using scent. Catnip contains a compound known as nepetalactone.
Is Catnip/Juananip Safe for My Dog?
Yes! Catnip is safe and non-toxic for dogs.

Dogs primarily perceive the world through their sense of smell, and catnip naturally stimulates them to play while also aiding in relaxation. Similar to cats, dogs have catnip receptors in their faces and stomachs, BUT THEY PRODUCE AN OPPOSITE REACTION! Incredible, isn't it? Here's how this magic happens.

The vomeronasal organ (or Jacobson's organ) in cats is situated within the nasal cavity and connects to the roof of the mouth, just behind the upper incisors. Its primary role is transmitting specific chemical attractant signals (known as pheromones) to the central nervous system, which can greatly excite cats. Dogs also possess this organ, along with over 100 million scent receptors. However, catnip does not affect them like cats, as dogs do not react similarly to these pheromones. Many dogs show no reaction or may experience mild sedation at most.

Additionally, when consumed in small quantities, catnip can have a calming effect on dogs, helping them to naturally relax. You can safely add 1/4 teaspoon to their food for a naturally soothing effect. According to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, both fresh and dried forms of catnip are considered safe for dogs to consume in moderation and as per the manufacturer's instructions.

🐾
These products contain NO MARIJUANA because ☠️🏴☠️ THC is TOXIC for dogs. Even a small amount of THC can trigger a severe reaction, leading to marijuana toxicosis and an emergency visit to the Veterinarian.
🐾Juananip is an all-natural, organic catnip cultivated in the USA and Canada. Catnip is the sole ingredient in Juananip.
🐾Nepetalactone, the essential oil found in catnip, binds to receptors and produces a response so relaxing, it's drool-worthy.
🐾Dogs don’t experience a “high” from catnip like cats do. Instead, it acts as a calming agent when ingested and is an excellent way to motivate your dog to play longer through scent.
CONCLUSION: The most severe consequence of ingesting a large quantity of catnip is an upset tummy or drowsiness. These effects will subside after approximately an hour and do not present any long-term health concerns. If your pet is on medication or is pregnant/nursing, always consulting your vet.
